Whitewater Rafting

The Zambezi River, below the Victoria Falls, is widely considered to be the best rafting river on the planet!!! A deep channelled, high volume river, the Zambezi has class 3 – 5 rapids interspersed with tranquil pools, enabling you to marvel at the magnificent scenery between some of the most exciting and challenging rapids in the world. Before you go out onto the river the guide will give you a basic safety instructions.  Rapid #1 start just under the falls and ends with rapid #25. During low water season you will be able to do rapids #1 to #18 and during the high water season rapid #11 to #23.  Included: Transfers from and to your accommodation; drinks; lunch for Full Day rafting; park fees; qualified and experienced raft guides; safety kayakers on each trip; all equipment including life jackets and helmets; cable car ride out of the gorge (except on half day morning trips); delightful adrenaline rushes.

 

 

 

microMicrolighting

Take a microlight ride over the beautiful Victoria Falls, a spectacular way to view the whole Falls in one glimpse. There is a 15 minute and a 30 minute long flight. The 15 minute flights flies over the Victoria Falls and the 30 minute flight will take you on a tour over the Victoria Falls and the Mosi-oa-Tunya National park. This is truly the best way to see the Falls! For safety reasons you cannot take a camera on the microlight and there are no exceptions. DVDs of photographs taken with a digital mounted camera are available for purchase.

 

Walking Safaris

Take a walk on the wild side! and experience the African bush on foot. The 3 hour safari includes a game drive to and from the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, a light breakfast and some refreshment along the way. You can get up close to elephants, rhinos, buffalo, giraffes, zebras and an abundance of antelope. The tour guides will take you to the best hide out places of the animals while sharing some interesting fact about some of the trees, insects and animals you have spotted.

Sunset (Booze) Cruise

Enjoy a relaxing and sociable cruise on the mighty Zambezi River which borders the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park on the Zambian side and the Zambezi National Park on the Zimbabwean side. This cruise is a fantastic way to have some fun, whilst seeing an amazing African sunset and having an opportunity to spot some crocodiles, hippos, zebras sometimes elephant and giraffes. The cruise includes drinks, pre-dinner snacks and a full BBQ dinner. The cruise is fun for all ages.

 

 

 

River Safari

A quiet small jet-propelled boat allows you to access to parts of the upper Zambezi River where the big cruise boats can’t navigate. Your guide will take you along the islands and banks looking for hippos, crocs, elephant and other game, whilst you relax with a drink in your hand marvelling at the majestic African sunset. Includes drinks on board and snacks on one of the islands in the river.

 

 

 

 

Abseiling

Abseil off the cliffs of the Botaka Gorge while you enjoy the beautiful view down, if you are not too busy kicking yourself away from the cliffs. Abseiling can be done either half day or full day where lunch is included in the full day. Once you abseiled all the way down you can then enjoy the beautiful short walk up the Gorge.

 

 

 

 

Horseback Trails

You will spend 30 minutes getting used to your horse within the resort grounds next to the beautiful Zambezi River, after which you will take a horseback trail into the National park. If you opt for the longer half day ride you will also have the opportunity to ride into one of the local villages. Experience stunning views and if you are lucky, you will spot some game along the way . There are two trails ranging from 1 and a half hour to 2 hours and a half day trail with lunch.

 

 

 

Elephant Safaris

An elephant back safari offers an unparalleled viewpoint of the bush and/or the Zambezi River. The original elephants are rescued orphans from necessary culling operations in Zimbabwe in 1988, who have now given birth to a new generation. Elephants are trained through positive reinforcement training techniques. After the safari you will have some interaction time with your elephant and give them some treats as the handlers work on a “work and reward” system; after which, the elephants return to the bush to do what they do best ie: be elephants. Choose from a morning ride or an afternoon ride. Includes drinks.

 

Canoeing

Canoeing on the upper Zambezi River with your own professional guide is the best way to see game when passing the Mosi-oa.Tunya national park. The safari will take you into narrow channel of the Zambezi enabling you to take in the majestic scenery and be at ease with the river and wildlife. You can choose between a full and half day.

 

Bungi Jumping

1…2…3…4…Bungi of the 111 km high Victoria Falls Bridge. Feel the wind in your hair as you free fall of the second highest bungi bridge in the world. You can go on your own or do a tandem jump with one of your friend. There scariest part of the whole bungi experience is to take the leap of the bridge but after that you can enjoy the beauty of the Zambezi River and the Gorge, upside down of course, before they winch you back onto the platform beneath the bridge. This is a must for adrenalin junkies.

 

 

Gorge Swinging

Gorge swing off the Batoka Gorge where you will free fall for 50 m before the rope swings you. You can enjoy a half day or full day, including lunch and drinks. After lunch, if you are doing the full day, you can enjoy the Gorge swing and all the other activities as many times as you like. Booking the Gorge swing as a package or as a separate activity is up to you. The Gorge swing was the first ever swing to feature on TV including shows like the amazing race and has a 100% safe record till date.

 

 

Quad biking

Enjoy 2 hours of four wheel fun in the beautiful Batoka Gorge. All ages and level of experiences can have a guided trip through the majestic landscape of the African bush at your own comfortable pace.

 

 

Livingstone Island

Take a boat ride to the Island that David Livingstone first viewed the Victoria Falls from. Perched on the lip of the Falls, you can peer down into the 100ft chasm.

Helicopter Flights

 View the entire 2km wide Zambezi as it cascades over the edge from the vantage point of a helicopter. See the incredible gorges that have formed over millions of years.
