Here in Livingstone, we invite you to share in an experience that blends fine
dining with warmth, intimacy, and story. Every guest becomes part of our journey,
and every dish is crafted with the care we give to family.

As Zambia’s first and only molecular gastronomy restaurant, SUNGANI was born
from a dream to transform Zambian ingredients into fine cuisine — to take what is
local, humble, and traditional, and present it with the artistry, precision, and
emotion of world-class dining.
Our aim is to make Zambian culture come alive on the plate, turning it into
something that feels both familiar and extraordinary — a living museum of food,
where heritage and innovation meet.
In April 2025, we opened SUNGANI RESTAURANT, a 22-seat fine dining experience
located within our home. Together, as Chef Sungani and Lady of the House, Alibesi, we’ve
combined three decades of experience to create a space that is both personal and
pioneering — where guests are welcomed home, and Zambian ingredients take center
stage.

Our seasonal Zambian Tasting Menu, titled “The Rebirth,” is a 13–14 course journey that reimagines traditional flavors
through molecular gastronomy and modern fine-dining artistry. Every ingredient is sourced within a 100 km radius or
across Zambia, reflecting our deep respect for provenance, sustainability, and community.
SUNGANI can accommodate most dietary needs or allergies, with prior notice.
We cannot accommodate severe or fatal allergies or allium and garlic allergies.
